*most programs will return starting in August!
Meet and mingle with other caregivers and share milestones and stories with the group. Learn about new developments in early childhood education and take home resources from community partners. Let your babies play in a safe and comfortable space.
Kids' Night In
We know you work hard, so we have a Kids' Night In each month for you to drop your kiddos off at the museum for a pizza dinner and fun while you enjoy a date night, check out some of Downtown Fairbanks' amazing First Friday art shows, or just enjoy some kid-free time.
This weekly art program gives children a chance to get messy! Activities include things like flower pounding, shaving cream painting, and playing with spaghetti. These projects aim to develop creativity and motor skills while allowing kids to explore their senses.
Sensory Friendly Days
Time to have a fun, enjoyable, and interactive learning experience in a comfortable and more peaceful play environment. Featuring a less crowded space, light and sound reduction, extra visual safety signage, appropriate sensory activities, and a designated quiet room.
Pint Size Science
Our weekly science program offers hands-on learning, experiments, and activities based around STEAM topics. Our goal is to inspire wonder and investigation in young minds through activities like slime making, chemical reactions, and magnet play.
We provide an open space for families to enjoy the Museum while connecting through music and the arts. In the past we have featured performers like Songweeds, Punk Rock 4 Kids with Nick Meurlott, and many more!
This event features community members and groups who share a new topic, skill, or activity with our museum families. In the past, we have featured organizations such as Tanana Valley Clinic, Fairbanks Police Department, Calypso Farms, and Fairbanks Soil & Water.
Join us in the Imagineering Lab to take on a making challenge! Think, plan, and create. Make something that flies, something that rolls, construct a nest and more. The challenge will be available for the rest of the week for those who cannot attend.
Make a gift to the Museum and keep exploration playful in Fairbanks.
