Pint Size Problem Solvers

Your kiddo can do hard things! Pint Size Problem Solvers is meant for school aged children to explore their analytical thinking and find solutions to problems and challenges. Activities like building protection for a falling egg, finding efficient routes or wrapping difficult presents are sure to boost their confidence!

Mess Makers

​

This weekly art program gives children a chance to get messy! Activities include things like flower pounding, shaving cream painting, and playing with spaghetti. These projects aim to develop creativity and motor skills while allowing kids to explore their senses.

Moovin' & Groovin'

Kids' Night In

​

We know you work hard, so we have a Kids' Night In each month for you to drop your kiddos off at the museum for a pizza dinner and fun while you enjoy a date night, check out some of Downtown Fairbanks' amazing First Friday art shows, or just enjoy some kid-free time.

Baby Mingle

​

Meet and mingle with other caregivers and share milestones and stories with the group. Learn about new developments in early childhood education and take home resources from community partners. Let your babies play in a safe and comfortable space.

Our weekly science program offers hands-on learning, experiments, and activities based around STEAM topics. Our goal is to inspire wonder and investigation in young minds through activities like slime making, chemical reactions, and magnet play.

Super Saturdays

​

This event features community members and groups who share a new topic, skill, or activity with our museum families. In the past, we have featured organizations such as Tanana Valley Clinic, Fairbanks Police Department, Calypso Farms, and Fairbanks Soil & Water.

Sensory Friendly Sundays

Time to have a fun, enjoyable, and interactive learning experience in a comfortable and more peaceful play environment. Featuring a less crowded space, light and sound reduction, extra visual safety signage, appropriate sensory activities, and a designated quiet room. 

The Sensory Room at the Fairbanks Children's Museum is dedicated to kids with sensory processing differences
