No building yet? No problem! We can build a museum AND have fun at the same time!

Our Museum Without Walls program is designed to offer fun, play-based learning experiences for children from infants to primary grade children. Your family will have a blast playing with a variety of creative exhibits and interactive play stations.  Play with fiber optics, experiment with magnets, get your hands messy with shaving cream on the Plexiglass wall, stack gigantic foam blocks higher than your head and experiment with balloons and beach balls on the Bernoulli Blower (that's a mouthful!), among other activities designed to encourage a joy of learning!

Upcoming Events:

A Starry Evening with the Planetarium: Astronomy and Star-gazing activities!

Artisan's Courtyard

Saturday, April 14th from 5-8. Make your reservations here!

Museum Without Walls Discovery Day

Kendall's Auto (Corner of Danby and Johanson)

Sunday, April 29th from 12-4

Imagine a place where children learn through laughter and play, where hands-on discovery is encouraged, where families can come together to be creative...

The Fairbanks Children's Museum is working to build that place! Our mission is to provide an interactive environment for children to discover the joys of learning, play, and community by promoting and encouraging the arts, science, industry, cultures and history of Alaska.

The Fairbanks Children's Museum is a non-profit organization and member of the Association of Children's Museums. We hope to open the doors of a permanent museum in Fairbanks, Alaska by 2014.  Until then, the Museum Without Walls program is our way of bringing interactive, fun and sometimes messy discovery to Fairbanks and the surrounding communities!
